“Promoting the rights of women and girls with Disabilities in Covid 19”
23rd September 2020

According to WHO report[1], people with disability are at greater risk of contracting COVID-19 because of barriers in adopting precautionary measures and accessing health services. Women and girls in this context are at greater risks because of their socioeconomic dependency, lack of institutional support and lesser economic opportunities that impacted household income especially their specific health care needs.

To generate discussion on this important area Rozan is going to organize a webinar on “Promoting the rights of women and girls with Disabilities in Covid-19”, with an objective to understand their vulnerabilities during pandemic, and highlighting the role of state in addressing their specific needs, and bringing forth policy recommendations for the accessibility of the care, support and services.

This webinar is scheduled on Wednesday 23rd September 2020, at 12:00 PM (PST) via Zoom Link (online).
