Our Role for Women Rights: Taking Action towards preventing Gender Based Violence during Pandemic”

After having the spread of Covid-19 steadily more under control, it is time to analyze how during the lockdown the suspension of essential protection services for women and girls, compounded by restrictions on mobility, lack of information, and increased isolation and fear, had enhanced vulnerabilities especially for those going through gender-based violence (GBV). The analysis is critical to be better prepared for any calamity or pandemic in the future.

Rozan through a series of 5 webinars in August-September 2020, initiated discussions on this aspect while keeping the challenges and successes of support services related to emotional health and protection of women and girls in center of discussions. To put forth recommendations emerged from these thematic webinars Rozan is conducting the last webinar of the series “Our Role for Women Rights: Taking Action towards preventing Gender based Violence during Pandemic”. The webinar in the view of learnings shared previously by various stakeholders will focus on collaborative efforts between Government and civil society in designing strategies to protect and uphold the rights of women and girls in the country, particularly during pandemics

This webinar is scheduled on Wednesday 30th September 2020, at 12:00 PM (PST) via Zoom Link (online).
