Movie Screening: In the Time of Butterfly

A movie "In the Time of Butterfly" was screened with Rozan's Staff to highlight the history of 25th November Violence Against Women day.   

Orientation on 16 Days of Activism with survivors of State-run Shelter

An orientation on 16 Days of Activism with special emphasis on 25th November Violence against Women Day was conducted with women residents of State-Run Shelter Islamabad, Pakistan. The orientation was followed by a Art activity by Fauzia Minallah a renowned artist of Paksitan associated with Child Art Funkor. The activity took reflections from women on society, which is Violence free through paints on a banner.  Later feminist songs were sung together to show solidarity with their braveness and voices raised. At the end of the day they celebrated the day by distributing bangles and designing handprints.

Community Mela on Child Abuse Prevention day (19th November)

A community mela was organized to highlight child abuse prevention day. Along with fun activities, awareness raising activities like puppet show, awareness raising messages, art activity with children was carried out.  Another feature was a  play by community youth on "Role of men in endintg gender based violence." 

Peace vigil on South Asian Women Day (30th November)

To celebrate the South Asian Women Day (30th November), a peace vigil was organized by IHI (Insaani Huqooq Ittehaad).  Along with lighting candles and reading Litany for Peace, feminist songs were also sung to convey solidarity with South Asian Women for demanding Peace, Harmony and Justice.
