These books will serve as a medium for children to learn about the issue in an age-appropriate, non-threatening and fun way. The purpose of this book is not only to address the issue of child sexual abuse to children but also enable parents and adults in approaching this sensitive yet essential topic with children in a comfortable way. It is equally important for adults to have sufficient information about child sexual abuse so that they can answer their children's queries along the way.

"Break the Silence!" is intended for children ages 12 - 16 and provides essential information regarding body protection and safety. It is also a helpful resource for parents who want reliable and sensitive information on how to protect their children and give them age-appropriate awareness.

This book started out as a compilation of articles on child sexual abuse that were printed in 1998 in "US Magazine" of the daily newspaper "The News". In response to these articles Aangan received an overwhelming response (around 500 letters) from not only survivors of sexual abuse but also numerous concerned and appreciative parents, children and adults.

We have revamped this book in the hopes that we may reach out to more individuals affected by child sexual abuse, as well as equip parents and children with the essential knowledge to protect themselves and their loved ones and BREAK THE SILENCE !

Game For Children

Snakes and Ladders This game has been adapted from the original "Snakes and Ladders" and combines fun and education. It not only provides entertainment to the child, but also provides valuable information on issues of emotional health (feelings, anger, communication skills, gender etc.) and child sexual abuse. The information focuses on ways in which children can make themselves stronger and are better able to protect themselves. The game is suitable for children aged seven and above. Parental guidance/Adult supervision is advised.

Flyers And Articles

Aangan publishes leaflets and flyers for parents, teachers, victims/survivors and health professionals on Child Sexual Abuse in both English and Urdu.
